Wednesday Jul 23, 2025
In Sunday morning’s Bible class, Jeromy Tuck guided the congregation through 1 Timothy 2:1–10, emphasizing the power of prayer, God’s universal desire for salvation, the example of Christ as mediator, and the call to live peaceful, holy lives. Jeromy encouraged believers to adopt a “think souls” mindset, centering every interaction on the eternal value of others. He reminded us that prayer, unity, and modesty are not only pleasing to God but also tools to reflect His heart to the world.
Special focus was given to God’s desire that “all people be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth” (v. 4), and how Christ paid a ransom for all. The class also explored the biblical understanding of modesty, not just as avoiding provocative dress, but as an attitude of humility, simplicity, and sincerity—especially in how we present ourselves and treat others.

Bible Class - 1 Timothy Part 4
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Monday Jul 14, 2025
On Sunday morning, July 13, 2025, Jeromy Tuck led a compelling Bible class on 1 Timothy, focusing on key themes from Chapter 1 and the opening verses of Chapter 2. The session began with announcements and prayer requests, including prayers for the Pecall family, flood victims, and high school campers attending a Bible camp in Oklahoma. Jeromy opened with a prayer, emphasizing the importance of studying God’s Word with humility and a desire to align with God’s will.
The class delved into 1 Timothy Chapter 1, exploring Paul’s transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted follower, highlighting the challenges of shifting from a legalistic mindset to embracing Jesus as the Messiah. He used contemporary videos from Israel to illustrate how some modern Jewish individuals struggle with accepting Jesus, drawing parallels to the mindset Paul faced. These videos revealed that less than 1% of Israelis recognize Jesus as the Messiah, with many lacking exposure to the New Testament, underscoring the ongoing challenge of sharing the Gospel.
Jeromy emphasized Paul’s warning in 1 Timothy 1:7 about those who teach the law without understanding it, reflecting the difficulty early Christians faced in moving beyond the Old Law. He discussed the concept of a "shipwrecked faith" (1 Timothy 1:18-20), describing it as initially embracing Christianity but drifting due to sin or worldly desires. The class explored the idea of being "handed over to Satan" as a form of excommunication, not for punishment but to encourage repentance, referencing 1 Corinthians 5:1-12 and Matthew 18:15-17. This disciplinary action aims to restore individuals to the faith, akin to the Prodigal Son’s return.
The session transitioned to 1 Timothy 2:1-7, where Jeromy highlighted Paul’s call to pray for all people, including those in authority, to foster peaceful and godly lives. He confessed his own struggles with praying for others, particularly leaders, and encouraged the class to seek peace and forgiveness in all interactions, even with difficult individuals. The discussion underscored the importance of church fellowship and the dangers of voluntarily separating from it, likening it to being "raised by wolves" in the world.
The class concluded with reflections on modern distractions, such as sports and entertainment, which can pull people away from church and faith. He stressed the need for consistent spiritual discipline, comparing it to a healthy diet, and cautioned against viewing occasional church attendance as sufficient for spiritual growth.

Do You Really Want Your Sins Forgiven?
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Guest preacher George Khrone, from Zion Church of Christ, Lyons, TX delivered a stirring message that challenged listeners to reflect on their sincerity in seeking forgiveness. Using Luke 7:44–50 as the core text, he contrasted the repentant woman’s heartfelt devotion with the cold indifference of the Pharisee who merely went through the motions. George emphasized that many allow sin into their lives, and even their homes, without true repentance.
He warned that silence and skepticism, as shown in verse 39, reveal doubts about Christ and hinder forgiveness. Drawing from passages such as Luke 15:2, Acts 11:3, and Galatians 2:12–21, he exposed the dangers of judgmental hearts and shallow faith.
George highlighted Jesus' power to read hearts (Luke 7:40–43) and the urgency of the spiritual harvest (Matthew 9:36–38). The climax of the sermon pointed to the life-changing power of hearing Jesus say, “Your sins are forgiven” (Luke 7:48–50), a statement only those truly seeking forgiveness will hear.
He concluded by reminding the audience of the biblical steps to receive forgiveness:
-
Hear and believe – Acts 15:7
-
Repent – Luke 13:3,5
-
Confess – Matthew 10:32
-
Be baptized – Acts 2:38
The sermon was a compelling call to move beyond appearances and pursue authentic salvation.

Bible Class - 1 Timothy Part 3
Monday Jul 07, 2025
Monday Jul 07, 2025
Jeromy Tuck led a powerful and engaging class on 1 Timothy, focusing on Paul's charge to Timothy to guard against false doctrine and promote sound teaching rooted in love, faith, and a pure heart. The discussion emphasized how truth is constantly under attack—then and now—and that knowing sound doctrine is the best defense. Jeromy warned against becoming entangled in myths, genealogies, and pointless arguments that distract from the work of God.
The class explored how the law is useful when applied correctly—not as a path to righteousness, but as a mirror to reveal sin. Paul’s testimony was highlighted as a message of hope: though once a violent persecutor, he was shown mercy, forgiven, and appointed to serve. This reminds believers that no one is too far gone for God to redeem and use.
Through dialogue, scripture, and reflection, the class reinforced that sincere faith, a pure heart, and knowing the truth are foundational to resisting error and living for Christ.
